I have had elements for several years but never fully understood or took advantage of all of the great options it had to offer. After using this DVD I feel I have a much better understanding of the program and will enjoy using it so much more.
The instructor takes the total novice and walks you slowly and clearly through the program She is easy to follow and the DVD shows you clearly what you can do. To make it even better she provides practice exercise folders so you can work right along with her using the exact same pictures she is using in the instructions. The program is broken up into chapters and can be started and stopped as you need to . You can also bookmark certain pages for future reference.
My suggestion:
1.Better instruction should be provided re. how to set up the DVD and use it along with your own elements program
2. The DVD isn't viewed well on a laptop as it would be on a full LCD screen or played on a traditional DVD player on your TV.. The reason is the screen doesn't adjust fully to allow you to see the bottom of the screen where some adjustments are located and where the function buttons are for the DVD .
Conclusion:
I think this is a valuable learning tool and I will be able to go back and review items in the future as I need to refresh my memory or to try options that right now I don't need . This is soooooooo much better than a simple class room training as I now have Jan Kabili on my DVD forever to help me use Elements fully.

This video training series is excellent. There are few Photoshop Elements training videos on the market, and this one is at the top of my list. I lead a group of retirees who are learning the fundamentals of Photoshop Elements. I have been looking for tutorials like this for years. Jan Kabili has two things going for her that convinced me to buy this series. The first is she has a clear voice that is understandable to older people like me who might have hearing losses. The second is that she totally knows her material, and presents it in the videos in a way that is easy to understand. She uses the right descriptions for all elements of the program, and that helps me pass along my learning to our group. I am very pleased with this product, and highly recommend it to others.

After I received Elements 7 as a gift, I purchased several learning tools to help me get the most from this software. I purchased one full color illustrated book and two different DVD's. This DVD was without a doubt the best and most helpful. It is easy to understand and covers all of the basic operations available to the user. It is also a great reference tool when you know Elements will perform a certain function but you just can't remember how to make it happen.

If you want to learn Elements then this is a great place to start.
