This textbook was not what I was expecting. Albeit, the author attempts to provide concrete examples of projects, I found the supporting text difficult to follow. Stock photos are nice, but that's about it. If you are a novice, or new to PSE 5 this book isn't for you.

My sister loaned me this book after I bought PSE 7. I am very analytical and bought 3 PSE 7 books to teach myself, yet I find Tim Grey's PSE 5 WORKFLOW more helpful in getting started and understanding the VERY basics before I use the other books. After the cursory first chapter intro, Grey starts at what happens immediately after you take your photos...the download and even the best organizing and naming for files into perpetuity. The info is so helpful and I was taking so many notes that I've decided to purchase this for myself (since I didn't find a similar book for 7 from Grey) so I can just write and highlight in my own book. (Besides, my sister is asking for her book back and I'm not ready to give it back!) If you're a novice, and even not so technical, I highly recommend this book for your library.
