You have to provide some proof of his being a student. I don't know what all the possible kinds of proof are, but I would think a high school ID of some kind might be enough. If they want more, the school would probably give you a letter that would work. It is worth a little work to get this great price. I'm loving all the things I can do with this program.

This most likely refers to the "soon-to-be-Old" CD-based Software, as opposed to the coming "Cloud"-based version that Adobe is trying to force on people with monthly-fees, subscription programs, etc. I just got PS6 Extended on CD for my Nature Photo work... and I don't haveto be on-line to use... which is a partial (and potentially negative) drawback of the "Cloud" system. I'm an old-fashoined, 8-track tape kind-of-guy... so I like "feel" what I'm buying, particularly when it costs so much. Good luck... Dr. DeMento ***********

This version is now 3 versions back. The best way to get the current version of Photoshop is the CC Photography plan: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KNDCCE6/ref=cm_cd_asin_lnk (monthly) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O66FYRS/ (Yearly pre-paid)

Hi Sam, Yes. The only known issue for some users is with outdated/bad video drivers. The fix is to install the latest drivers directly from the card manufacturer, or use this simple workaround: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/image-background-transparent-or-flickers.html
