My own conversion from film to digital photography has been a very steep leaning curve. Not all the products I purchased have proved to be useful. Furthermore, I have been disappointed with some of the books aimed at CS3 users and, consequently, purchased this product "after" I had purchased Adobe CS3.

Laid out in a manner which allows the user to build on each lesson as they progress, this is a straight forward learning process which is both thorough and educational. Aimed at the photographer, the book comes with a CD which allows the student to progress at a very reasonable pace. Having worked my own way through the book, there were very few places where the differences between CS2 and CS3 were relevant. I learned a great deal and am now able to improve many of my stock photographs before allowing then to be considered for publication.

Technology moves on so fast that even the manufacturers of my new digital cameras had produced a brand new camera within 12 months of my buying what was then the very latest models. It is the same with Adobe Photoshop and, although CS2 has been replaced (and replaced again) these books are still very good value for money.
