In a series of interviews with sixteen prominent digital artists, "Macworld" magazine graphics guru Deke McClelland uncovers dozens of original Photoshop techniques, processes, and ideas used to create real-world effects. For example, Ron Chan pushes pixels to add depth and texture to his vector art; Greg Vander Houwen achieves peace and harmony with layers; Katrin Eismann masters the idiosyncrasies of digital cameras. From art direction, stock photography, and fine art printing to photorealism, high-resolution imaging, and digital media, this unique collection offers an in-depth exploration of the topics that most challenge Photoshop professionals.
Deke McClelland is a popular lecturer on Adobe Photoshop and the larger realm of computer graphics and design. He has hosted the interactive "Video Workshop" CD that shipped with Photoshop Versions 7, CS, and CS2, as well as hundreds of hours of tutorial-style video training for industry leaders lynda.com and Total Training. In addition to his video work, Deke has written 84 books translated into 24 languages, with more than 4 million copies in print.
