Easy-to-use and saved us money immediately,
This review is from: Photosimile 100 - PC-controlled Digital Photography Studio - Take Professional Quality Images In-house in Just Seconds with Photosimile! (Electronics)
I purchased the Photosimile 100 on behalf of my company. Before buying, I compared four different types of lite boxes and lighting systems. Photosimile was not only the best match for our products, but the customer service far surpassed that of any other company. I had many, many questions which they took the time to answer meticulously. I was able to see sample shots of my products in the box and talk to current users of the box.
Once the Photosimile arrived, Ortery was very available for support. I barely take pictures for personal use, much less professional grade pictures, so I was a little worried about how the photos would turn out. The set-up was very easy and took about 20 minutes, but I did have a few questions. Taking the pictures was even easier. After a few tests, I was able to get great shots that we could use with little to no doctoring. Shortly after receiving the box (a couple days), we realized we would need to shoot larger items. We decided to return the 100 box and purchase the Photosimile 200 instead. By the end of the first week of using the Photosimile 200, we had already saved thousands in photography costs.

Cost efficient alternative to hiring a photographer!,

I first saw this system being demo'ed at the Consumer Electronic show in Las Vegas and was immediately impressed by it's simplicity. A few weeks later I remembered how easy it worked as I talked to a photographer about his fees to do product photos for my company. He wanted $75 an hour and based on the amount of work, the estimate was pretty expensive. I have nothing against a professional making a living, but I'm a small business owner and decided the total expense warranted my trying to do it myself. I decided the Photosimile demo made it look too easy not to investigate further, so I called the company, asked tons of questions, which they patiently answered (kudos for service), and decided to make a purchase.
The product works EXACTLY as advertised and thanks to the software it is...dare I say...idiot proof. You simply put the item in the lightbox, set up the camera, and the software takes care of everything else. Close ups, cropping, etc. is a breeze and takes no time at all. I was able to achieve what I consider extraordinary results and I have zero skills as a photographer. The photos are sharp, offer nice closeups, and have the pure white background I was expecting to achieve. This was a great investment as it saves us money every time we use it. If you do a lot of product photos every year like we do, this product pays for itself and enables professional results at the same time.
