This is a great beginner's book for anyone who wants to learn about PV systems, and it is a good preparer for the NABCEP Entry Level Exam.

I would suggest utilizing the CD that comes with the book. There are review questions and flash cards for every chapter, which are very useful for tests and becoming familiar with terms in general.

To start to understand a PV system as a whole it is important to spend time becoming familiar with each chapter, and to review them multiple times. The reason I recommend buying text books if you have he budget--because you can mark up the chapters, highlight information--in essence map each chapter to feature the most important and useful information. This makes for easier studying.

Good luck and have fun!
