This book seems to be advertised as good review for the CSET as well. WRONGO! Admittedly, it does have a few fun practice questions. Really though, its a very specific guide for the PRAXIS (the format of the test, the format for the constructed responses etc). The book contains little or no PE information. So dont rely on it for learning or review. This book will only help you gain familiarity and comfort with the format, and perhaps some understanding of expectations.

I found this book to not be helpful at all. The materials that I studied in this book were not on the test. I would not recommend buying this study guide, but if you do, please do not rely solely on this book helping you to pass the test. You will definitely need to buy other books and study guides.

I found the guide to be a little more vague than other study guides that I've purchased. The other guides included summarized chapters with the information. I was expecting more of the same from the ETS guide. It is basically an outline with example questions. To find it useful, you will need to purchase additional text or have a background in the subject. In that case, it would be very helful and I would increase the rating.

I passed the test, but this book did not help me in my preparation at all. Truly it did not. Also, consider borrowing the book from a local school system... Schools often have professional development libraries that have Praxis workbooks to check-out.

This book is not helpful at all. The materials only cover 5% from what was in the test. I would not recommend buying this study guide.

LIKE many other reviewers I found this book to be lacking in information specific to the HEALTH PRAXIS TEST. UNLIKE other PRAXIS study guides ( like the elementary one) it DOES NOT contain specific information. IT merely contains an outline of the info you need to know ESPECIALLY for the health section. I had to get most of my info from the internet and I am hoping that will be adequate. SINCE I HAVE BEEN OUT OF THE HEALTH EDUCATION FIELD FOR over 20 years I was looking for something that would help me review...THIS book was NOT IT!!!!!!! I hope I pass the test!!!!!

I used the book for Movements and analysis and the questions in the test had the exact format and likeness of the questions. Highly recommended for this particular exam.

I took Praxis Test #0856 yesterday. I went in feeling prepared because I studied the questions/reasons for the answers in this study guide. What a shock...the questions on the test were not at all what the study guide had led me to believe they would be. The questions were much more detailed and required some expertise in each of the content areas. If I pass the test, it will be a miracle! I'm not a slacker when it comes to studying, either...Masters in Algebra Concentration, teacher for 24 years, and lots of past experience with sports and coaching. I wish that there was an actual textbook to study with more detailed information. Keep your fingers crossed for me. =]

If you really want to be perpaired for the PE PRAXIS II Exam this is the book to get it has 2 practice tests and even a video practice exam. All of the test taking hints and tips were really good, i passed the Exams with flying colors.

My package came in speedy time and excellent shape. It saved me time and money to order this book from Amazon.com. I highly recommend looking here for the books that are need for tests, school, and/or pleasure reading.
