We had the good fortune of spending time with David Dallmeyer in the Arctic Circle. His "wimp" walks were always fascinating. He is enthusiastic about his subject and knows how to make geology accessible to non-geologists. We thumbed through his text on our ship and decided that it was one we wanted to own. He is as clear and concise in his writing as he is in his talking walks. The text is a good addition to the library of anyone who is even slightly interested in geology.
