5.0 out of 5 stars Good book.
This is a good book. Very informative. The access code lets me use a lot of good online videos, information and quizzes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best organization, but required for class
The book seems to jump around a little bit, and the periodic table is lacking, but overall its a decent textbook.

This was a heavily used book. The condition reflects its use. With worn pages and torn binding. Inside matters most.

This book has proven very useful for the course that I'm taking. When purchasing, be aware that it's a large book and is very difficult to read while laying in bed because of how heavy it is :) Thank you for the great book!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good text. Good approach. Well organized., February 25, 2010
This review is from: How Does Earth Work? Physical Geology and the Process of Science (2nd Edition) (Paperback)
We have adopted this text for our Physical Geology sections at our institution. We are pleased with the book, and the students seem to like it as well. We particularly like the emphasis on inquiry.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a rip off!, January 9, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: How Does Earth Work? Physical Geology and the Process of Science (2nd Edition) (Paperback)
This book was labeled as "good". This book, however is not in "good" condition. I don't know that I would say that it was in below average condition. The binding is cracked and torn, ALL the corners are worn, the cover is extremely wrinkled, pages are bent and there is highlighting throughout. This book has been repaired more than once. It is NOT in ANY shape or form a book in GOOD condition. I am very unhappy about this purchase and would not recommend your business to anyone. At this point I'd rather pay an extra $40.00 in the University Bookstore!! What a waste of my money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poorly written, February 5, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: How Does Earth Work? Physical Geology and the Process of Science (2nd Edition) (Paperback)
Very verbose and poorly written, with long sentences and loose organisation of chapter contents.

The quizzes at my school are taken from a computerised test bank. The quiz questions split hair. It is hard to get them right.
