basically no extras of any kind

This is about the re-issue, specifically. The original album itself remains a 5 star masterpiece. If you already have it in your collection, though, don't buy this. I was very disappointed in the re-issue for the following reasons:
the mix and songs sound identical to the original recordings. I have a very good stereo and a very good ear. No difference.
the 'extras' are weak sauce. It's just demos of a few songs from the album, some of which are so similar to the final cut it makes no difference
no liner notes - I was hoping for an exhaustive essay to read through about the process, funny stories... whatever. Not a single word of liner notes, just a picture book.
I will say this in praise, though. The version of Trampled Underfoot on the extras disc (its called 'rum and coke, or some such nonsense) is AMAZING. They did some stuff adding echo to Roberts vocals, and then panned them back and forth from left to right channel. It is super bad ass, and I think superior to the official, final cut. Its more gems like this that I wish the release had.
now, if you don't have Physical Graffiti, you may as well buy this one. It is one off the top albums ever made. If you do already have this on disc, skip this.
