This review is from: The Physical Principles of Magneto-optical Recording (Paperback)
The author is very good at giving an overall picture of the principles of magneto-optical recording. This is a very readable book and the pictures are awesome in explaining the concepts. I used this book to help me satisfy a term paper requirement for a graduate level course. Even though I am a newbie to the field of optics and magnetism, the book is self-contained enough for me to understand. A book highly recommended for anyone who wants to know what happens in your magneto-optical drive. It also includes review chapters on diffraction optics, Gaussian beams, and magnetism.
