This book is simply amazing! although some text books are dry, this one is not. I took a physiology of psychology class a while ago and thoroughly enjoyed this book. Because we did not have time to cover all of the material in the book, I have been reading it in my spare time for fun. Occasionally, I reread chapters as well. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone interested in psychology, neuroscience, physiology, sensation, perception, and/or pharmacology.

I am halfway through my summer Physiological Psych course and have found this book to be simply amazing. I have a hard science background and have found this text to contain information on par with more complex texts but it's way easier to read than they are! I will be keeping this book as a reference after the class is over.

I consider this book a good material for students attending an essential neurophysiology course. It is well organized, easy to read, good figures, information from cellular-molecular level to the systemic level. I like it. I recommend it for both College and Grads levels.

Shipping took longer than I anticipated, but was within the 2 week span that Amazon suggested. I guess USPS is much slower than UPS or FedEx. Book was wrapped well, and is in very good condition, just as stated in the description posted by the seller. Book is very informative and well written. Not too difficult to comprehend. Overall a very good transaction and product.

Carlson's seminal book on physiopsychology covers an incredible amount of material from structure of the nervous system to disorders, psychopharmacology, neuroscience, and sleep. Even in this 9th edition, though, there are numerous typographical/editing errors (some significant, such as mislabeling a figure as postsynaptic when it should be presynaptic). The graphics, which are lauded in the book, aren't very contemporary-looking and at times it is hard to figure out what is going on in them. All in all though, as one of the most well-respected physiopsychology texts out there, it is well-written and covers a vast array of topics.

This is a great book! It explains this subject very well. The cd it comes with is even interactive and fun.

I ordered my book a month ago with other books that shipped from amazon itself. I understand that it may take longer to receive books from private sellers but not a month! I just received an email saying that the sender got the book returned back to them, but I received the books from amazon that were shipped to the same address. Just an overall bad experience because I really needed this book.
