Makes my ATI HD5770 better then Nvidia,

This review is from: Physx Card 128 Mb, PCI (Personal Computers)
I purchased this card after deciding that PhysX is enabled in Portal and some other games (see Nvidia's supported titles for PC). Since I have a 4800+ AMD (dual core), I wanted to help out my processor to do Physics in game. The card does just that. I gained 2400 on 3DMark putting my HD5770 to just shy of 9000 on 3D score. This is wonderful. I'm sure when I upgrade my CPU to the Phenom II 965 4x, that my score will go up even more. Now that I have PhysX with my ATI card, I don't feel left out. Be sure to download the driver for this card from Nvida. You'll need the full download that was released awhile back, and then the current "Profile update" download to complete the install to most current. And yes, the Nvida PhysX drivers work fine with the ATI drivers.
Have fun and good gaming! Whiplock

I'm Loving It!,

Money well-spent.
Pros: Amazing eye candy! Adds a whole new level of realism. Looks great in GR:AW, but looks simply amazing in GR:AW 2! I have yet to try it in other games, but I am sure it will work well in those as well. Cons: Price. Not many games support the Ageia PPU. Uses PCI, wait until the PCI-e PhysX card comes out. 'Some' of the added affects such as in GR:AW look a little cheesy, but that is not the fault of the card. Causes a somewhat lower frame rate, but not alot in my experience. Don't let the cons deter you, they are only minor complaints! Would I buy it again? Definately, although I would wait for the PCI-e version.

It is after all a physics card, I got this for 25$ so even though I has almost no use, I will keep it for the simple fact that it looks cool with the high quality you expect from BFG products. As well as it had 3 blue LED lights on the fan which light uo the bottom of my case with my green which I like. The small fan is a little noisy at first but quiets down. New graphics cards Nvidia, have physx on them so if you have an older card this may offer some speed boost, however, if you have some space in your pc and want to fill a slot just to look kool and bragging rights this would be it. Most games do not support Physx however more will in the future, so this may have use in the future. I also had one heck of a time with drivers installation. I just like how it looks through my side pannel with the blue lights.

This physics processing unit is a piece of trash. Running it in conjunction with an HD5850 to get a little extra shazam on Arkham Asylum and UT3, wasn't worth it AT ALL. You have to install prehistoric drivers to get it to be recognized and then update those drivers to even get it to work decently. It doesn't have any effect on benchmarks in the 3 different tests I've ran for it. After enabling hardware physics in UT3 I gained a couple breakable objects and a few more guts flying, big woop. Crysis did a much better job putting the physics into the engine itself and still had higher framerates on there. Arkham Asylum gets practically NO benefit from this card, maybe a 5 FPS increase even on normal physx. Only way for it to be smooth is to disable physx and what's the purpose of the card then? Without physx on my rig can push the game at 60-70 maxed out 1920x1200.
Buyers beware: The fan on this little thing is RIDICULOUSLY LOUD! What intelligent individual put such a crappy fan on this thing, especially considering what they used to cost? I honestly regret buying it.

I did the background work on this card and saw a couple of not so impressive videos. Upon installation and the first game fired up, there was an unbelievalbe difference. I have pushed this running max resolution and the effects delivered are nothing short of WOW......
Beyond watching things crumble and fall apart, the total enviroment changes, clouds take shape, fog rolls in and the scope slowly comes into focus. This card truely adds realism I would not have believed. Very pleased with the effects and performance....

Very good for physics for graphically intense applications, this card will take a load of the CPU. But somehow when I bought it, it had no Vista drivers, and buggy to program with. Maybe drivers now are changed. Got it because it was for $300 awhile ago. so this was a good deal for me really.

This card was revolutionary when it came out. However the card died when the company was purchased by Nvidia and not many games support it anymore. Worse yet nvidia is now incorporating the aquired technology into their new graphics card. Save you money and just but a new 200 series card from nvida that includes aegias technogology built in.
At this point in time this card is an outdated technology that is nearly dead and would be a complete waste of money.

As we know that Physx card is not support all games but only a few games. However, Nvidia now is taking physx card for its a new graphics card like GTX 280 ( to defeat ATI) so, many games in future will support Physx card and I think that ASUS and BFG will stop making this Physx card.
I will give it 3 stars and maybe in future these stars will grow to become 5 stars by Nvidia. Note: a new drive for this card in Nvidia website.

Los juegos lucen muy bien, incrementandose tambien la tasa de fps en la mayoria de los titulos soportados por la tarjeta, en algunos juegos no hay diferencia y en otros es notable, un producto excelente para jugadores y a un bajo precio..

Excellent effects in GRAW, GRAW2. Haven't tried using in any other games so I can't verify other users claims of improved game play in games not designed for a Physx card. So far, not really worth the money. I should've just upgraded my graphics card. But it may pay off as more games come out, maybe......
