5.0 out of 5 stars If you have baby fine hair, this is what you have been looking for:
I just wanted to take time to let others that struggle with baby-fine, no body, flat, lifeless hair....to know that this product is what you have been looking for all along. I have bought countless hair products that claim to add body, and after using it a couple of times have thrown it or given it away. But this really does work for us that look as if we only have...

2.0 out of 5 stars too much static
I started using this product several weeks ago and was thrilled. I had LOADS of volume. It didn't feel sticky, it felt clean and when I blow dried it, my hair didn't stick to the brush and pull. It smells awful but the scent doesn't linger so that wasn't too bad. However, after using it for a while(about 2 weeks) my hair was so full of static I had to carry dryer sheets...

2.0 out of 5 stars too much static, April 7, 2006
I started using this product several weeks ago and was thrilled. I had LOADS of volume. It didn't feel sticky, it felt clean and when I blow dried it, my hair didn't stick to the brush and pull. It smells awful but the scent doesn't linger so that wasn't too bad. However, after using it for a while(about 2 weeks) my hair was so full of static I had to carry dryer sheets in my purse to run over my hair all the time. I thought it was just the weather, but upon going back to my regular products, the static stopped immediately. If you have very fine, limp hair as I do, and are willing to spend this kind of money on a product that works, try Jonathan's Volumizing Foam. It smells wonderful, leaves your hair really shiny and you only need alittle (and no, I am not a Jonathan fan, it just works). I have been using it for a while now and I love it. I would not recommend the shampoo and conditioner that go along with it though. Weighs your hair down.

I just wanted to take time to let others that struggle with baby-fine, no body, flat, lifeless hair....to know that this product is what you have been looking for all along. I have bought countless hair products that claim to add body, and after using it a couple of times have thrown it or given it away. But this really does work for us that look as if we only have three hairs on our head. Try it with the Phyto shampoo for fine-limp hair. You won't be sorry that you tried one more hair product that promised to deliver that full-hair look. This may be the answer for you like it was for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, December 2, 2005

I have used everything for my limp hair. Most of it coats the hair shaft and leaves it stiff and then oily. This stuff is different.. It made me feel like I had regular hair volume for the first time in my life. It's expensive, but I'm stocking up. It's that good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best results I've had with a volumizer, June 28, 2008

Love this product. Have used a volumizing mousse before that I thought did wonders (and it was an expensive salon product), but Phyto takes the cake. Make sure not to apply to the scalp as that will cause build-up. Apply to the roots and you will see instant results. You don't have to use much, so it's worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works!, September 14, 2009

My hair has always been thin and fine (i.e. stringy and flat). I started using this spray in conjunction with the mousse shampoo, and I would actually consider my hair to be "fluffy." Others are even complimenting me on my hair, which is something I'm not used to. I've found it works best (I'm at my fluffiest) when I wash my hair with the mousse shampoo and use the volumizer spray at night. The next morning, I just dampen my hair with water and blow it dry. Instant fluff that lasts all day!

4.0 out of 5 stars really works, May 16, 2007

masha (Brooklyn, NY) - See all my reviews
I have thin hair that's often pretty flat and this product really does its job. What I don't like is the way it smells - it's a little musky, and my hair quickly develops a tolerance to it. Also it only works for several hours, after which my hair starts to look kinda dirty.

5.0 out of 5 stars I have tried everything and this is my new fav!!!, September 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have the thinnest hair ever!! Since I was maybe 13 I have tried every volume spray, mouse, powder, cream, everything! My old fav used to be Redken Guts. Then I found this and I could not be happier. Redken is good bc it gives you volume but it is a little thick and it leaves your hair very dull looking and snaggly (dont think thats a word). This is so much better! It feels like it makes my hair tougher some how so it stands up more on its own without much residue to help it. Because there isnt that left over residue it allows the hair to shine more than the mouse formulas, and move more naturally. I dont know how it does it but I dont care, Im very happy!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Va-voom!, February 24, 2011
This review is from: Phyto Phytovolume Actif Maximizing Volume Spray - Fine Limp Hair 4.2 oz (Health and Beauty)
I am always skeptical of the latest product claim to give my thin, fine hair luscious waves of volume and style, and I approached Phytovolume Actif Vlumnizer Spray no differently. Though, if truth be told, after an undisclosed number of years, I still secretly brim with hope and optimism over each new product, which is why when I tried Phytovolume Actif Vlumnizer Spray I was thrilled with the results! It's not so much that I was suddenly sporting Texas hair without so much as a spritz of hairspray, it was that I wasn't fighting the weight of the product. So many "root boosters" weigh your hair down and/or create the stiffness of a 1987 mall look. Phytovolume Actif Vlumnizer Spray gives me a healthy boost of volume with flexibility and staying power all without the wet, stiff look anyone who has experimented with root boosters has ended up with at one time or another. Phytovolume Actif Vlumnizer Spray is expensive - I think too expensive - but it goes a long way (you really don't need much) and, for me, it delivers on its claim.

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST Root-Volumizer I've used to date!!, October 15, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Having silky-fine hair is, for me, a curse! Without it, my hair just lays there looking like an uncurled paintbrush! I'm quite well acquainted with the Phytologie line, having used it as a professional for years. I've used the regular version of this product before and loved it then...this Professional version and size is just PERFECT for me. Having drier hair, I usually only need to wash it twice a week and when I do I start with running a leave-in conditioner through my ends & then separating my hair into small subsections where I will hit the roots with this spray followed by blow-drying it with a round brush on High heat and locking in the shape with a cold shot (the button on the hairdryer) followed by a spritz of Elnett to seal in the finished product. The key with this product is to just spritz (only once or twice)the root to midshaft and not bother with the ends. For volume, I recommend the "Marilyn" line of hourglass shaped round brushes! Talk about volume!! This definitely makes me appear to having thicker, more bodiful hair! I love it and I think YOU WILL,TOO!!
