It works,

This review is from: Sun Rizr (Health and Beauty)
After deciding we needed a daylight simulator, and quite a bit of research,
I decided to order this unit. I wanted to use my own light, so I can decide the location and ultimate brightness of the light. The length of sunrise and sunset are preset. This simplifies the setup. Controls are easy to use, does just what I intended. It is much easier to get going on dark winter mornings. If you need a daylight simulator, this is a great choice.

Nearing 10 years with the original Sunrizr,

This review is from: Sun Rizr (Health and Beauty)
As I recall, I paid a fortune for my original Sunrizr, close to 10 years ago. It is still working. It is still waking me up 5:30 every morning. I can use my own lamps with it, and program sunrise and sunsets, and it automatically turns off by itself an hour after sunrise, so that I never have to worry about forgetting to turn off the light. It has a buzz-alarm feature that I've never needed to use.
The *only* thing I could complain about is that there is no weekend setting, but when I originally bought it, there were no dawn simulators with a weekend setting. In the past 10 years, I have wasted my money on countless other brands promising me a weekend setting, but none of them came close to this one. I either returned, resold, or disposed of all the others in frustration. Even though I know I paid more for mine than what is listed on Amazon, I feel like I've gotten more than my money's worth over the years. I came here hoping to find an updated "weekender" version, but no such luck. If anyone has a suggestion for a weekend version of the Sunrizr, with the same quality and programming ability, please let me know.

Wonderful device,

It's light, simple, and seems expensive for what it does, but is completely worth it. The unit is easy to use, solidly built (works perfectly a year, and many drops, after purchase), and if you have trouble with the winter blues (or even just the winter blahs) it may transform your life. Highly recommended.
