Product Description

When hosting the next soirée at your geek bachelor pad you'll need the proper equipment to ensure success. All three major gaming consoles, a flat screen over 40" wide, a well trained dungeon master, a complete Star Wars action figure collection, and a fully stocked liquor cabinet are a must. But how about ice? You were planning to use that standard vaguely cubical stuff?... or worse the boring half-moon shape your fridge churns out? Well fear not intrepid nerdy party planner! ThinkGeek is here with the geekiest ice you'll ever find... Pi ice! Yep these stylish silicone ice trays cast frozen H2O into the symbol for your favorite irrational number. The chicks will swoon when you hand them a drink filled with Pi ice, and Archimedes will give you a big thumbs up for your tasty Pi Jello shots.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes me smile every time April 15, 2012

This tray is awesome. The shipping was a little absurd for something so small and lightweight, but it also arrived ahead of schedule, so I guess I can't complain, because it's made every day since a delight.

Every time I drop a pi cube into a drink, my day brightens a little bit. I've actually started pulling it out for drinks that are already refrigerated, just so I can see the little pi shape bobbing there as I sip my soda.

When I first got the tray, I had some difficulty removing the ice. I was actually worried about some quick wear and tear, as I had to be rather forceful, and some of the edges wrenched at the tray. However, if you rinse the back of the tray with some warm water for a good ten seconds, you melt the edges of the ice forms just enough for them to slide right out, hassle free. I don't mind the extra time it takes, either, since I know I'm getting awesome pi cubes!
