This was the first Chucho Valdes album I came across, and it's still my favorite. Here you get, undiluted, the thunderous solo style that I can compare only to Art Tatum for its virtuosity and overpowering effect. This is the Chucho Valdes album to start with, for it will make you fall in love with his music.

The Cuban wind to the world. Chucho Valdes is playing like the waves in his ocean. I advise you to listen his soul to hear Cuban's souls.
