Solid blues-jazz in the classic manner, August 5, 2002

Most of the tracks here are just red and his piano -- classical small club music with a Black 1950s feel but thoroughly original. Two tracks ("Blues & Jazz") really wake you up to the creativity in this largely forgotten musician. Not for everyone, but if you understand the roots of jazz and blues and how they cross, Red is well worth the price of admission
