This was my first encounter with the Irish pianist John O'Conor. As a pianist, these pieces were well-known to me, having taught many of them as well as played them. Mr. O'Conor is a pianist of the highest order. He has such a beautiful tone, such sensitivity in phrasing, such elegance throughout. If you get this lovely CD, you won't be disappointed.

This cd is a proper collection of classical piano pieces, well performed. It would be good, basic, for someone just starting out to collect famous piano compostions. I enjoy having many of my favorites on one cd. Yes, I know I should just download them to an ipod, but I don't have one.
