This review is from: Piano Concerto No. 1 in D-flat Major, Op. 10, in Full Score (Paperback)
What can you say about a score? First, it needs to be legible and accurate. Check. Next, it needs to be printed on fine stock that reflects light well so that you can see it in various conditions. Check. The binding needs to be "sewn in signatures" as Dover always reminds us, and they do that very nicely. Thus, it stays open to the page you want, without clips or weights to wrestle it back down to the stand. Check. There is one other quality that seems much harder to copy. Look around and you'll see that Dover scores have got to be among the cheapest out there. You don't find many publishers rushing to copy that feature. Thank you, Dover! Shooshie |
