About the Author

John-Paul Williams is an instructor of piano restoration and technology at London Guildhall University, where he is also an acoustic keyboard technician. He studied piano technology at the London College of Furniture before embarking on a successful career in the piano trade, tuning, servicing, and selecting pianos for all levels of pianists. A member of the Piano Tuners Association, he lives in London, England.
