Biography

Jerry Lee Lewis, the Killer, is the rock n' roll singer-songwriter and pianist, whose enduring image will be him standing at the piano, limbs flailing, quiff flying, while he belts out "Great Balls of Fire" - his signature tune.

Lewis developed his style early, mixing boogie-woogie, rock, gospel and rhythm and blues. As a youth he was expelled from university for playing 'worldly' music. He moved… Read more in Amazon's Jerry Lee Lewis Store

4.0 out of 5 stars Killer ROCK&ROLL, July 22, 2002
This review is from: Piano Man (Audio CD)
This is a somewhat unknown set that boasts several cuts that are unavailable on most of the live sets put out on Jerry Lee.This set includes a romping version of the Bruce Channell hit "Hey Baby" as well as a manic Sweet Georgia Brown that rivals that of any version of the Killer's that I've come across on video or in the studio. All of the other cuts here really jump, the only exception is the tune "JUST Because" which doesn't stand up due to poor sound quality. Most of these cuts are taken from other live sets and come from the mid 1980's I'd say. This set is well worth the money and is somewhat different from other "KILLER KUTS". Give it a spin!!!
