The Sublimest Interpretation, March 29, 2011

This is sublime - by far my favorite interpretations of Debussy. And a very good overview of Debussy's piano compositions.
The music is full of light and colors - the playing: of outstanding lightness and depth. Subtle, understated and resourceful, but with just enough of charm; also there is a big calmness in these interpretations, nothing is done just for effect or to brag with the technique. We are reminded of Debussy's motto "ne quid nimis"; Rev got it down to a tee.
I recommend listening at generous volume to get all the nuances.
This gem is hard to find, so I advise you to buy it if you are a fan of Debussy's music.
