Mr. Lankov got it right! His interpretation of Gershwin doesn't sound like an over-practiced piano rag. He captures the spirit of Gershwin in a way that takes you back to the early 1900's. His performance of "Rhapsody in Blue" is powerful and dramatic. You haven't heard Gershwin like this in a long time.

Definately worth a listen!

Bravo Mr. Lankov, Bravo!

Mr. Lankov's Gershwin CD is GREAT! I love it! His playing is very easy to listen to. A must have for piano and Gershwin fans.

What a relief to finally hear Gershwin's piano music played with flawless technique AND real jazz style all at once! Mr. Lankov's interpretations of the Gershwin solo rep are without a doubt the best I have ever heard. What will his next album be?

Jeff Lankov is one of the most versatile pianists I've known. This CD showcases his flawless skills and fabulous interpretation of Gershwin's piano music, including a brilliant performance of "Rhapsody In Blue". It is definitely going to be one of my favorites in my CD collection (of over 300), and I am even planning on buying another copy in case I 'wear out' this one! More likely I'd give it to my sister so she won't have to borrow mine all the time :-) I'm looking forward to further recordings from Mr. Lankov, be it Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Beethoven or Stravinsky!

I just received this recording and have got to say that I was blown away. This is some of the most vibrant piano music I've heard in a long time. You won't be disappointed with this.
