Perfectly captures Neil Young's voice and sound, April 14, 2006

When CSNY released "Helpless", people commented on how the slide guitar intro meshed perfectly with Neil Young's opening line, "There is a town in north Ontario...," almost as if coming from the same instrument. David Ari Leon also achieves the perfect fluidity between the original song and the piano composition. You can hear Neil's voice on these songs almost as if he is singing on them, and the arrangements pay homage to the music in a way that is both subtle and multilayered. Each song has been interpreted with artistry and skill that actually expands one's appreciation of the original. The album is recommended listening for all whose musical taste runs the gamut from classic rock to classical, and an absoulte must for Neil Young afficionados.

I truly enjoy this tribute album, I think that David Leon has truly captured the essence of these neil young greats in his piano solo compositions. I love the way that the David has managed to subtly bring his own interpretations into this great selection of pieces as well. Check out the last track, which I believe is David's own composition inspired by the great neil young himself :)
All and all, a truly great album, definitely for the neil young fan, and in fact, also for anybody who wants to wind down with a bit of easy listening with just the sound of a grand piano, and the spirit of the great god father of canadian rocknroll himself.. regards,joe
