Classic recording of a major piano work, October 15, 2006

The Ives piano sonata is a very challenging work, but one you will come to enjoy. This recording is valuable in that it includes the optional flute obliggato Ives composed for the sonata. The performances and the recorded sound are excellent. A real gem of a CD for Ives lovers, and piano lovers.
