A Brilliant Idea for a Cookbook,
By

This review is from: Piatto Unico: When One Course Makes a Real Italian Meal (Paperback)
Italian food is wonderful and this is a wonderful cookbook. Take for instance the shells with broccoli rabe, sweet peppers, and sausage. Here the bitterness of the broccoli rabe is cut by the sweetness of the peppers to create a complex sauce, and all this with only 20 minutes of prep time. But the idea behind the book, that a balanced meal can be had in one pot, is a welcome one to anyone who enjoys Italian food and who wants a one pot meal with a minimum of prep and cooking time.

Simple, Easy Recipes,

This review is from: Piatto Unico: When One Course Makes a Real Italian Meal (Paperback)
This cookbook provides simple, easy recipes for cooking Italian food. The idea behind the book is to cook one dish meals instead of multi-course meals - all cooked in one pot. These are perfect for working people and people on the go as well as those who want to have a fast and relatively easy meal to prepare. However, the dishes prepared are tasty and unique. Many unusual ingredients you would not think of combining into a recipe.

The Appeal of Italian Cuisine All in One Course,
By
This review is from: Piatto Unico: When One Course Makes a Real Italian Meal (Paperback)
Is a trip to Italy on your "bucket list"? Then get started with a lovely introduction to the cuisine of that always charming country with Piatto Unico: When One Course Makes a Real Italian Meal.
Busy schedules and budget constraints may make it impossible to enjoy multi-course Italian feasts on a regular basis, but Toni Lydecker's cookbook makes it possible to feast Italian style every night of the week. From such creative offerings as Cranberry, Sausage and Farro Soup to an aromatic Herbed Roast Pork Tenderloin with Parsnip Puree, Lydecker's one course choices reflect the best that Italian cuisine offers. None of the recipes would fit into the quick make category, but none would provide any difficulty for even the kitchen novice. Piatto Unico provides a broad showcase of the best one course meals to add the flavor of Italy to your family's table. |
