Wow! This stuff works great!

I followed the instructions and made the little paper reservoirs with the included paper, placed it near the ants (which were all over the house) and filled them up with a few drops of the blue liquid. They looked like little pools / hot tubs for the ant and within hours they were crowded around it and taking turns getting some. It actually drastically increased the number of ants that were around on the first day. It was quite amusing to watch. So much so that I was going to set up a camera to post a time-lapse video.

The next day I set up the camera expecting the ants to return. I waited until mid day and there wasn't a single one in site. Two days have gone by now and I haven't seen a single one at the trap or anywhere in the house. The instructions say that it could take up to 10 days. 18-24 hours? Could it have worked that quickly for me?

I'm going to leave them out for 10 days and if I don't see any ants, I'll get rid of the bait traps. Then I'll post an update to this review to see if they are still none in site.

PS - not official Amazon purchase because I found it in a local store and didn't even think of looking for it here

I'll start this review by stating that I've never tried a bait killer product before. I've only dealt with black ants previously. But lo and behold these tiny red (pharoah?) ants showed up in my kitchen, attacking my wood cooking spoons obsessively wherever I stowed them and however I cleaned them, my garbage, and my waffle iron.

I googled to discover the species and the appropriate method of treatment. The consensus was bait not spray, and caulking cracks seemed dubious due to the miniscule size of the creatures.

So I gave it a go and put down some of this brand bait. I also removed the apparently attractive food sources in my kitchen. Couldn't bear to use that waffle iron again, chucked it. Painful that. Nearly poured batter into it to discover those tiny red ants, killed my appetite and my son's. Keeping the spoons in soapy water, and the trash is hanging in a daily changed bag on the back door knob.

The results. In two days the ants were gone, using one-fiftieth of the product in a single trap. Impressed and pleased at the results of removing temptation and using this product. In my experience Pic brand Liquid Ant Bait Killer works well for tiny red ants.

I have little red ants (Pharaoh?) in my kitchen and living room that come out for sweets and crumbs that drop or are carelessly left out. We've tried gel traps, we've tried sprays, we've tried borax. This stuff I put in the little squares, and some came. But then I dropped a few drops directly on to their trail and the crevice they go into, and they swarmed it. Literally side by side surrounding the drops.

Impressive.

This product is saving my marriage. Our house every year is inundated with those small Argentinian ants that love sweet stuff. I have used sprays, ant block, traps and nothing has worked. This product has helped eliminate the nests in almost a day. When you place the liquid down on a surface that the foragers will cross, they immediately start eating it the moment they find it and then lay a scent trail to it. Within an hour or two you will see the horrific truth as to how many ants you have entering your home, because they will be shoulder to shoulder drinking from the liquid. They then take this back to their nest and share it with their friends and usually the queen. A day or two later you can't find an ant anywhere, even with food left on the floor.

I have found that for large infestations the paper tabs they provide to put the liquid on are not large enough to feed the number of ants that want to take a drink at the bar. I use a large piece of plastic and pour it on to accommodate as many of them as possible.

Pros: Wipes out every ant that drinks it, and they all drink it.

Cons: Will dry up into a hard blue solid after a few days and will no longer work on ants, so don't be wasteful.
Will give your kids nightmares when they see a 1000 ants eating in their dinning room.

So we have pavement ants which apparently is a specific species of ants. They don't really go for sweet stuff, but they love pizza boxes and drops of oil on the kitchen floor. Originally I just tried this product as is and followed the instructions, and we did get some ants on the baits, but not a ton. I was getting bit by these little guys and I wanted them dead FASTER. So, what I did was I soaked a piece of salami in this stuff, and mixed some in with some peanut butter untill the peanut butter looked a little green. The ants went nuts over that and they swarmed untill both the salami and the peanut butter were just black seething ant balls. It has been down for about 48 hours and they are still swarming, but they seem slower and there are less of them. I will post another review in 10 days about the final results. Just wanted to put this out there for people who need to bait "meat and grease" eating ants.

I moved into the new apartment few years ago and ants started to penetrate my defense line.
I bought this Pic LAK Liguid Bait Ant Killer from near buy drug store.

At first it did not seem to work at all, but within two days I do not see any ant at all.

I kept it for future use and I gave it to my friend who was having an ant problem few days ago.

The few years old bait worked fine and their ant problems are over.
