If you want to make engine repairs, this manual gives basic "how to" information. But there is no "tricks of the trade" type information and to really use this manual you will need to be pretty familiar with similar vehicle types and engine repairs and have all the "mechanic tools." It has a decent number of pictures but I have to agree with others that the Chilton manual has a few more pictures providing a little better detail and covering a few more subjects. I am not sure of the accuracy of the book because I had no intention in rebuilding the engine or transmission, so much of it is a waste to me. I really purchased it for information on how to remove & replace interior and exterior items that a mechanically inclined consumer might upgrade or to perform maintenance work such as belts, breaks, struts. For some of the maintenance items, there is information to work from as part of larger projects but in general this manual does not provide that information and I am disappointed in the purchase. It does provide some info for working on breaks and suspension, but if you have have the airbag suspension, the detail is lacking.

I recently purchased this book and had the opportunity to use it this weekend to help with the replacement of the starter on my 2000 Expedition,First off the starter displayed looked nothing like the starter I replaced also removal of the starter required the removal of other components to get the starter out, hopefully when I need the book in the future this will not be the case.The book was absolutely no help with this repair

I bought this for my 2003 Expedition but it really is just the same book as the older edition I already had.

We bought a book for our 99 Ford F250 It was great so when we needed one for my SUV 2000 we came back and ordered one form the same company. It is a great book with all and information you may need on your auto

It's good overall, but we wish it had more detail concerning belt and hoses. I was expecting a bit more detail but we aren't unhappy with it.

The book came quickly and in the condition described. I would definitely buy from this person again. It provides all the small details I need for my 2001 Ford.

teh book has some very good iunformation that is need to do some key thing but is also spotty and others great for people who dont know a ton about what they are doing or abouth the car in general

The book is cool, gives you the codes that will come up

for that PCM related to your particular vehicle.

Excellent, it gives a very good explanation on how engine electronics work and how to troubleshoot with simple procedures, i.e. voltage and resistance measurements! This is nice because it allows you test sensors and verify if they are working, this way you can save quite a few dollars down the line.

I bought this book for a fraction of the cost of a newly published manual and it has many helpful features and diagrams in it. This is a must-have for truck owners and folks who want to do routine work on their vehicle.
