The chair itself is very well made and heavy duty. The problems with it were: it is significantly heavier that the typical chair of this type; the back will recline but it cannot be done while sitting in the chair, you have to raise or lower the back by adjusting it from the rear; the seat is very deep front to back so anyone who is of average or short height will have trouble touching their feet to the ground; and even in the most upright position, there is too much of a backward angle to the backrest.

This would be a good chair for an extra large or tall individual who needs the extra support and who isn't going to carry it any distance. If you are looking for a portable chair to tote to an outdoor concert, this isn't the best choice.

So I needed another portable "folding" chair to throw into my "car camping"/tailgating gear, but was wanted something that was actually comfortable to sit in.

Too often (for me anyway) the "typical" chair of this type is uncomfortable, with the back too straight which allows no room for "lounging" or leaning back. More expensive chairs seem to just add padding to the same un-ergonomic structure or throw a few canvas bags (called "storage")...and charge $50+ more for the privilege.

This chair however is anything but that type of product. Padded everywhere, yes, but more importantly the back reclines by several degrees and allows a very comfortable (and more natural in my opinion). Imagine my surprise when I unpacked it in the living room and gave it a try (figuring I'd be returning it immediately), but instead sat the rest of the night watching TV in the thing. The sight was probably slightly ludicrous, but I didn't care.

To mention what someone previously stated, the Blue & White colors are not nearly as bright as the picture. The blue is Navy and the white actually has a slight grey-ish tint to it. As I'm a PSU grad, this suits me fine.

Also, just to give fair warning of the only thing I think someone could find wrong with it, this chair is bigger than the typical collapsible chair of its type. Its not much heavier (though admittedly it is noticeable) than the typical collapsible chair, but it is much bulkier.

I bought this chair to use on my small porch. I'm very happy with it so far. Unlike other canvas folding chairs, this one is actually fairly comfortable. The back rest is titled slightly, so I can lean back a bit. The chair is also padded, so it's not as hard on the back as other chairs.

The drink holder is nice too. It's deep and has an eyelet at the bottom so if you leave the chair outside and it rains, the water doesn't collect. Also, despite the padding, the chair dries relatively quickly - not as fast as a normal canvas chair, but faster than I had expected. There is also a pocket in the back of the chair, which is useful for storing things like magazines or sun block.

The chair seems well built and sturdy. I'm definitely happy with my purchase.
