I've been looking for years for a pen that will fit on a keychain and won't come off. This actually fills the bill pretty well. The magnetic base fits on your keychain. The tiny ballpoint pen fits into the base. Mostly the pen stays on the base, even though I have a lot of keys on my keychain and I move it around a lot. It's extremely light (in weight) and looks nice too. Because the pen is tiny, you wouldn't want to write your novel with it.. but for jotting quick notes (e.g. writing your location on a garage receipt) it's perfect.

It's expensive... but it's very high quality. Comes packaged in a nice aluminum box with perfect cutouts for all the parts. The pen is held in by a very strong magnet that very much surprised me when I first tried to take the pen out of the cap, it's as strong as any normal pen cap that clicks on maybe stronger than some... comes with a stylus point you can swap out for the ink pen or the stylus point. also comes with a sturdy metal clip/snap-ring an extra key-ring and a steel cable ring that has a screw on fastener to put keys on i suppose, all sized appropriately for the small item.my only complaint is the price, but hey, i bought it...

This product is garbage.The very first time I used my keys, bound by the cable key chain, the chain snapped and I scattered my keys all over the floor - Great for night time panic. The PicoPen stylus is a joke, does not work with new touch screen cell phones. I guess if you still use iPaqs from 1998 this is for you. I should have known this was going to be a joke by the third party purchase. Lesson learnt. I wish I could rate this zero stars.
