If you love vintage Christmas ornaments you will love this book! This is the best book I've seen on the topic. It definitively covers Dresden ornaments, and ornaments made of glass, paper, fabrice, metal, wax, and more. It contains thousands of photographs of mostly pre-war ornaments, a wealth of information and a price guide to help value your collection. Even if you are not an ornament collector, you'll find this book contains collections that will absolutely amaze you. This book will remain in my library forever.

Although prices have declined on collectibles since the book was published, it was an invaluable guide to identifying ornaments including history and explanation of what makes an ornament a collectible.

I really enjoyed looking at this book for my interest in old ornaments. However, my main purpose for buying it was to get ideas for making my own "vintage" ornaments. There are so many examples. For this purpose it is an excellent book. Hopefully, I will actually get around to doing that someday but in the meantime it is a nice book to put on the coffee table during the Christmas season.

this is the best book on collectables and Christmas ornaments...I would tell everyone to buy it, it is an excellent choice

This is a wonderful book. It has 400 pages full of color photos, well organized by materials and subjects. It mainly features ornaments but also includes vintage decorations. It also has a lot of information about the old Christmas ornaments and decorations as well as suggested values as of the printing date of 2004.
