As a professional photographer, with decades in photojournalism, advertising, fashion, fine art and training, I have to say The Picture is the best entre to photography ever written. It's not just for photojournalists. Clear, concise (good AP style!) and fun, I have owned a half-dozen copies of The Picture and loaned/gave each to friends or coworkers who've taken up the camera. Get yours now, because it appears The AP has suplanted it with a new book (The Associated Press Guide to Photojournalism) and has sent this fine volume out of print.
