Must Have for Beginner/Intermediate LEFT Handed Guitarist,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Picture Chord Encyclopedia for Left Handed Guitarists: 6 inch. x 9 inch. Edition (Paperback)
I bought this book when I first picked up my guitar and (starting out) used it on a near daily basis. What it is: if you're looking for a solid and comprehensive LEFT HANDED guitar chord book, this is your bread and butter. It shows most chords you will ever need and best of all shows not only the 1st position, but usually 3-4x other variations up and down the neck. It is perfectly organized by notes and makes it simple to look up a chord and start playing right away. What it is NOT: There is MINOR chord theory discussed but nothing substantial. This is NOT an instructional chord book. It simply shows the most common finger and fret positions for notes, there is nothing about transitions, slides, or any other intermediate/advanced techniques. Scales are NOT covered in this book nor are licks/chops for soloing type of riffs. Summary: A must-have for the beginner to intermediate guitarist. If you are teaching yourself or use the internet for looking up tabs, this is a solid go-to book for those random chords that aren't well explained. I carry this with me on all of my gigs and jam sessions, in case I have to look up a random note outside the standard set. It is worth the $10 or so for it.

I bought this book more as a reference guide while practicing. Left handed guitar players seem to be left in the dark when it comes to chord books and guides. The book fits in an acoustic guitar case pocket and is good for learning where every major chord is on the fretboard. There are so many chords here that you can experiment for hours. This book has helped me out with memorizing and learning new chords and I pass it along to a friend regularly, I highly reccomend the book. I have seen it locally for the same price after I bought it from Amazon.
