Product Description

Picture Cross Deluxe Edition is a puzzle game where you use logic to reveal a picture.

Starting with a grid of empty squares, Picture Cross gives you clues in each column and row with which you must work out whether each square in the grid is black or white. Find all of the black squares to reveal a themed picture. Detailed instructions and helpful tutorial are included, and a hint feature is available if you get stuck. Win Achievements along the way. Once finished, you can reset each puzzle so you can replay as many times as you like.

Picture Cross Deluxe Edition includes 100 ALL-NEW hand-made puzzles, each with an imaginative theme. Puzzles come in grids of various sizes, ranging from 8 by 8 puzzles, which are nice and easy, thru 10 by 10, 15 by 15, 20 by 20, and up to 25 by 25 which are very challenging.

Deluxe Edition brings the best new puzzles and the best solver to Kindle.

If you love logic puzzles, you'll love Picture Cross Deluxe Edition.

4.0 out of 5 stars Continued improvement from the puzzle.tv folks September 10, 2012
Verified Purchase
This is a very nice implementation of the nonogram/picture logic puzzle. I've gotten the first two Picture Cross games from puzzle.tv as well, and I applaud them on improving the controls.

My only wish for an improvement would be for them to make a version with randomly generated puzzles. I know some people really like the picture aspect, but I like the logic puzzle aspect more. If someone could combine the random generator of the Nonograms game with the controls of this one, I'd gladly purchase that for a higher price than the continuous stream of $0.99 games with 100 puzzles each. 100 puzzles doesn't last very long, when a chunk of them are small and easy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Nonogram July 28, 2012
Verified Purchase
I just got this game and so far so good. I've gotten addicted to playing nonograms on the Kindle and was looking for another one. I don't have puzzle.tv's other Picture Cross games, but from reading the reviews of those, this one has addressed the issues raised.

Pros: Crosses out clues in the rows and columns to indicate completion, has a "show errors" option, quickly fills in squares when you hold down the Next Page or Previous Page and the 5-way controller, the completed picture looks like what it's supposed to.

Cons: I understand the space contraints but the 20x20 Puzzles could be bigger.

I think they should make a version that skips the 8 and 10 square puzzles and just have 15, 20 and 25, AND mixed sizes like 15x20. If you're really addicted to nonograms, 8 and 10 square puzzles are too easy.

I'm struggling between a 4 or 5 star review... Let's pretend it's 4.5.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not too bad July 31, 2012
By crm27
I, like many others, have found myself addicted to the «pixel perfect» games and have been trying to find additional puzzles that are both cheap and user friendly. While have not used or purchased other games by this maker, my main complaint seems similar to ones I have heard before in that most of the pictures do not really look like anything at all/are not very well done. This being said the puzzles are easy to use and aside from no quick way to undo a previous move all the quick features enjoyed about the pixel perfect puzzles are present here. I will say the focus is more on how fast you can complete a puzzle rather than revealing its picture. Overall it is not too bad and while there seem to be a lot of easier puzzles you still get a decent amount for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Game November 8, 2012
Verified Purchase
I bought the Picture Cross game because I enjoyed the Pixel Perfect Puzzles. The controls are the same: 5-way to move, next or previous page to make the square black or white. The Picture Cross does have larger puzzles (20x20 and 25x25) than the Pixel Perfect, which I like. The only con with the larger puzzles is that the numbers are difficult to read because of the size. I only mention this for the benefit of anyone who has difficulty reading small print. The puzzles are fun to do, but the goal has to be to do the puzzle, not to make a picture. Unless, of course, you make it part of the game to guess what the picture is. Some of the pictures were so bad I didn't know what they were suppose to be until the program told me. You could look at this as a plus: you have to use the logic clues to solve the puzzle, not use the picture as a clue. Good game at a good price. Please bring us more!

I have enjoyed this game. It makes me concentrate and problem solve, but in a fun creative way. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes word games and other games that make you think.

4.0 out of 5 stars Only one problem: not enough levels September 13, 2012
By just me
I really liked the game: analytical and a wide variety of pictures. I was serious disappointed when I did the last puzzle in around a week. Is there a part 2?

5.0 out of 5 stars Challenging! September 6, 2012

Really fun game. Starts out really easy, but gets super hard! Almost as fun as Picross for the DS, but lots cheaper. Great for the adult gamer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Picture Cross not "Perfect" but Fun October 26, 2013

This is the same concept as Pixel Perfect Puzzles, a clever and fun time-passer. BUT Picture Cross isn't as well constructed -- the pictures are poorly made, and the whole game doesn't work as well. I hope Pixel Perfect comes up with a new edition (they already have a set of holiday puzzles), but until then, I'll keep going with Picture Cross, which may not be "perfect" but is still fun to do.

Wish there were more nonogram games this good for Kindle. Squares can be filled in quickly and easily. There are hint and show error options which are essential. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Great game
This for me is very addicting. But to me there is one kinda big negative. I think there should be an easier way to reset the puzzles besides going to each one and resetting them. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars It's Okay....
Not as fun or satisfying or user-friendly as Pixel Perfect, but it's alright. The pictures are very primitive, but it's still a fun pastime.

The designs are fun, and the puzzles are not difficult, as we can use the tools "hint" or "show mistakes". Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Solve it once, and you're done.
Games are good, but there is no way to reset the game. Their website is down for re-design. This is not right.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's fun
Not being a logical person, this really does improve a skill I lack. And it's fun. The pictures aren't great, but good enough. I like not knowing what it is up front. Read more
