About the Author
Wilson Hunter, Jr., a Navajo, grew up near Tseyi Overlook. He is a member of the Coyote Pass Clan, and was born for the Bitter Water Clan. He began his park ranger career as a tour guide. Currently Chief of Interpretation at Canyon de Chelly National Monument, he is the recipient of the 1991 Freeman Tilden Award.
