interesting book - great photographs,

I got this because it was on a blog as one of the great photography books of the 20th century, and hard to get. Seeing it on Amazon, I just had to give it a look see.
There are indeed some fantastic images, and the basic theme of the book: create the image with an eye to the image's ultimate use, is a valuable lesson that is seldom touched on. OTOH, most of the descriptive text is no longer as relevant, being aimed at markets, such as magazines, newspapers, and catalogs, that no longer exist, and is not easily.
