Can't say enough good things about the album; the same fun, early Who/Kinks sound is here but better than ever. This album is also in stereo, unlike most if not all the tracks on LP3's previous albums to boot.

As an added bonus, if you buy the LP you also get the CD included in the LP slip case (common practice for Wicked Cool Records). The CD also includes 3 bonus tracks not available in the regular CD release (nor are they on the LP). This isn't in the Amazon product description (as of 1/22/2010).

The Len Price 3 was one of the best contemporary acts that Little Steven played in his Underground Garage in the old decade, and this album is proof that the group has no intention of slowing down in the new decade. Thirteen more awesome Sixties-style garage rock songs are here, and this album is just as good as the group's first two efforts, Chinese Burn and Rent a Crowd. Fans of the genre, and especially fans of The Who, will love it.

I found out about this group from Little Steven. Heard Rentacrowd and immediately purchased all three of their discs. Hard put to pick a fave from Chinese Burn, Rentacrowd, or this one, Pictures. Heavy on the early Who, Kinks, Small Faces, Creation, the Move - circa earliest British Invasion, before rock operas, concept albums or psychedelia. Len Price 3 are not a nostalgic hommage to aforesaid. They sound like they could've been playing on the same bill in 1965 - not as imitators but as peers. Working the same side of the road as the Jam and other Mod revivalists but with more abandon, sans an auteur like Paul Weller. Len Price 3 channel the influences through their guitars and especially walloping drumming reminiscent of Keith Moon. Not quite as raw as true garage band; this is power trio stomping. Buy all three discs, crank it up loud, drive around this summer with the windows rolled down. Great rock & roll doesn't need more than 3 minutes to get the job done. Maximum R&B for the 21st century.

Great new album from Little Steven's Wicked Cool label (home of The Gripweeds, The Contrast, and many other new bands that still know how to rock). Sirius/XM Radio playing lots of this one especially "Mr. Grey" with it's Sgt Pepper style trumpets that will stick in your craw for days after hearing. Go get this one NOW!

This band just gets better and better, and Pictures builds on the already impressive success of the first two CDs, with more sophisticated songs and production--but not losing any of the energy and rawness that is their hallmark. And while the record would fit seamlessly into any 1964 radio playlist, it really isn't imitative; it succeeds because it captures the feeling and energy of those heady days, not simply the style, as so many other bands do. They could open for the Move, which is about the highest praise I can think of. You will lose weight just listening to this, you'll get speeding tickets just sitting in your garage, you'll wear holes in your socks, and if you listen at work you will end up dancing on your desk with your boss.

More focused than prior 2 albums, clearly influenced by Kinks and Who as all reviews say, but also a punkish element to some tunes.
