As been mentioned, this costs alot more than the plastic one, but much more sturdy. Luckily, the shelves went right in since the center pole was the same as the old one. Unfortunately, the door screw holes didn't line up with the new shelf holes, so I had to spend some considerable time getting it just right. All in all, worth the money.

I know it's $100 more than the plastic but if your plastic has broken once (as evidenced by the fact that you are looking at this review), then a plastic replacement will eventually also break. I made that mistake and my first replacement purchase was another plastic one. A year later, that replacement broke and I just recently upgraded to this wooden version. I don't think there is any way my family can break this one. It looks like solid maple on the edges and maple hardwood plywood on the bottom. From the picture I thought the bottom might be particle board. Also the finish is top notch so it should last at least as long as you are happy with your cabinet look.
