For some reason. my flag likes to blow up on the roof. I changed to an adjustable bracket and it helped, but the flag kept wrapping itself around the pole! This flagpole solved the problem. Occasionally the flag will drape itself on the pole, but for the most part it hangs properly now.

The pole seems of good construction with a nice finish. It looks to be about the same as other, higher priced poles. I guess time will tell how well it holds up.

Shipping cost was reasonable, and it got to me within a few days -- quicker than I expected!

Pretty good product, way better than what I was using before. Does what it is supposed to do for the most part, spin around and keep the flag from wrapping around itself. Everyonce in a while the Flag will wrap itself once, but a quick tug on the flag and its back to working the way it is supposed to. The pole is a bit loose in my bracket, and where the tightening screw in the bracket tightens against the pole the paint has started to come off, but it is barely noticable. I fly my flag 24/7 (I try to take it down if I know a thunderstorm is coming) and after 6 months, I'm very happy with it.

The so-called poles that have crummy collars that are supposed to rotate but don't are put to shame by this flagpole that rotates and absolutely doesn't let the flag wrap up no matter how windy!

I've only had the flag pole for two weeks and I've already gone through both of the plastic clips. We've had unusually windy days, but c'mon!

I have been in search of a flag pole that would stand up to every day flying 24x7. This is such a flag pole. It never furls (wraps around the pole.) As with most, the paint does tend to chip off the bottom of the pole where is rests in the holder, but other than that, this has been a GREAT pole, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Had a problem with one of the plastic rings,E mailed the Co. and to my surprise, two days later in the mail were new rings and hooks. No questions asked.A great Co. to do business with.

In the summer of 2010, I bought one of these (from Amazon vendor Flags Unlimited) and it was exactly as stated -- 6' long, 1" diameter, ball bearing spinning pole.

I needed a new one and went back to my old order on Amazon and clicked on the product. This time, the item was sold by Featured Apparel but the description was otherwise the same -- other than the price having jumped from 13.59 to over $22. I ordered it.

Got it today and the label on the package says it's a 2-piece Aluminum Spinning Flag pole. Product number is that same as on the Amazon page. Except that the pole is now three pieces. And not ball bearing. And only 3/4" diameter. It does come with a bracket.

If it were me, I would have just returned it. My husband doesn't want to be bothered and is putting it up. I'm not happy at all with this.

UPDATE: The second day it was up, the bracket broke. My husband put up a new bracket. A few days later (windy but not a truly nasty day), the pole broke just above the bracket. Dave cut off the broken part and put it back up. A couple of days ago, the top clip mechanism for attaching the flag broke off -- and it was only a very gentle breeze that day. That was the last straw -- the whole thing is in the trash.

I've just ordered another one here on Amazon but clicked on the option to buy it from Flags Unlimited. And while it doesn't have free shipping, the price including the shipping is about what I paid for this one.

This flagpole arrived in three pieces packaged inside a clear plastic sleeve, 2 pole sections and the decorative ball finial. They only needed to be screwed together to have the pole ready to hang. There are two clear plastic rings included for use with flags made to attach to a flagpole with grommets. I use lightweight decorative banners most often on this flagpole. A banner is used by slipping the pole through the sleeve sewn into the banner, then attaching the banner tab to the metal clip on the flagpole. All of this works well so far. On my previous flagpole this metal clip eventually rusted through and broke off. Then we resorted to the plastic zip tie to keep the banner attached to the pole.

The only time I have any problem with the banner becoming furled (tangled) around the pole is when the banner is wet. Once the banner dries it drops free and hangs straight. I have found this to be true when I fly a flag attached with the grommets also, even though my flags are much heavier than the decorative banners. The flags don't catch and hang up as often as the banners, but being wet can cause them to become tangled.

So far I am very pleased with this flagpole.

These spinners do the trick, keeping banners/flags untangled.. The white coating does however chip easily,as they are locked in the holder at the base. . I display a minimum of 8 large banners around my house at any given time. I have replaced all my wood poles for these...

We bought two of these for the front of our house. We have an overhang roof that extends out from the garage and our flags would often "hang" on the roof and get twisted around their poles. These have completely solved the twisted flag issue and virtually eliminated the flags from hanging up on the roof. The sleeve spins freely, the truck (brass ball on top of the pole) is attractive, assembly is VERY simple. We had both poles together and flags back up in about 20 minutes. The poles hold 3x 5 flags perfectly, any larger would be too long for the spinning sleeve. Very happy with its performace.
