I couldn't put it down!,
By Judith R Gatton (Michigan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pieces of April (Mass Market Paperback)
This is one of those books that pulls you in and the characters become like family. I picked it up on a whim and couldn't put it down. Even after finishing it, I wonder how Stephen and Isabelle's life is going! It reminded me of an American/Scottish version of the Thorn Birds. I will recommend this book to all my friends!

This book is stressful. It is emotional.,
This review is from: Pieces of April (Mass Market Paperback)
It is about the tangled mess our lives become as each of us go through life making the choices we do - the difficult ones that mean we stay and fight through the mess instead of walking away and letting others clean it up. It's a reminder that when we look at the surface of what others have done and said it frequently looks like they have made really bad choices - but when we know it all the choices really do make the most sense. It's also a reminder to just look to tomorrow - it will get better...

A hard-to-put-downer,
By A Customer
This review is from: Pieces of April (Mass Market Paperback)
While on vacation, it took me two days to read this delightful book. The characters span three generations and you are caught up in their lives individually and together. Two wonderful love stories are presented and it is wonderful how the author pulls past and present together. This is my first time to read Ms. Haeger, but I hope not my last.
