A great follow up to the first collection...,
This review is from: Pieces in a Modern Style 2 (Audio CD)
If you're familiar with William Orbit's first "Pieces In A Modern" style, you'll know what type of an album this is. For those of you who aren't, this is Orbit's reworking of classical pieces with a more trance/electronica feel. It's not a dance album, it's more of a chill out album.

Can never go wrong with william orbit. Although this album felt like nothing new or "record breaking" its still eerily beautiful and textured and is providing hours of listening pleasure so far!

A lovely flollow up to Pieces in Modern Style,
This review is from: Pieces in a Modern Style 2 (Audio CD)
Ten years ago William Orbit put out the first Pieces in Modern Style. I absolutely loved his re-workings of various classical movements. Ten years later he finally puts out a follow up to that wonderful album with Pieces in Modern Style. I was not disappointed in the sequel. William picked out some really gorgeous pieces to turn into some lovely ambient pieces. I am particularly fond of "Aquarium" by Saint-Saens, "Nimrod" by Elgar, and "Sonnambula" by Bellini. The music is very relaxing to listen to on. I hope Orbit continues with the Pieces in a Modern Style. I like the mixing of the past and present sounds.
