I LOVE Sinead Moriarty's books, I've gone so far as to have my mother bring them back from vacation because the book wasn't for sale in the US. This book is nothing like her others. The characters fell flat and the story never seemed to go anywhere. I didn't feel sorry for her daughter, I just wanted to slap her and the family "secret" is the most ludacris and ridiculous thing ever! I'll wait for her next book, I didn't like this one at all, it only got an extra star because I love her so much.

I have read three of this authors books and found them enjoyable. This last book "Pieces of my heart" was good up until she made a insensitive comment about disabled people. It was unnecessary and hurtfulPieces of My Heart. I will be throwing her books out and will never read one of her books again.

This is the first Sinead Moriarty book I've ever read. She came highly recommended by the bookshop clerk. The characters were one-dimensional and unlikeable. The plotline (yawn) was ridiculous. I'm not saying I won't ever read a Sinead Moriarty book again, but I certainly won't pay for anything of hers again. Highly disappointing.
