Tight guitars, rapid drums, crisp vocals --- heavy metal WOW No yelling and no profanity, simply fresh lyrics and driving rhythm. Early Metallica like, only better. Guitar riffs that get the fingers moving and the body rocking. I have seen them live and their stage performance is as rocking as their recording. Audiance pleaser and fan conscience. Those four guys can play with the best. I hope to see them again soon, think they are on tour now. I have heard they are going to play the Milwaukee Metalfest and the World Series of Metal in Cleveland, wish I could be there --- they will set the place on fire with their burst of energy.
So if you like heavy metal this is it, I would expect that we will hear a lot more from these guys. DEEP rocks!

I grew up about 15 miles away from where these guys were from growing up in the mid-late 90's.
The 1st cd they put out called "The Reach Of Envy" is my fav of the 3 cd's they put out. This cd im rating now has a few songs from the 1st album Which was an indy record under Diamond Head Records Based out of Spring Texas.
At this time I remember them as the most progressive and skillfull metal band on the Houston scene, They would play a show every other week with other awesome local bands like Will To Live and Eyeagainst.
Each Member of this band has a whole lot of skill put into each note played, The drums sound like thor picked up some sticks. The slashing of the guitar riffs will leave you wanting more.
And there is more. They have a un-released album called Glimmer that was done in 2002 and I think its on their web site for free download deep.hypermart.net

The opening seconds of "Hear Their Own" miraculously manage to match the best moments of Morbid Angel, Hypocrisy, and the rest of the death metal elite. Sadly, nothing else on the album comes close to achieving such heights of hostile clarity, but there is ample evidence that Deep may be somewhat in the same league, if a bit slower to develop. Delving lyrically into the abyss of loss and suffering, this quartet sidestep the usual forays into the supernatural and flirt instead with the ideological miasma of the Goths and doom merchants. All in all, there are enough hooks and melodic yearning on "Pieces of Nothing" to make Deep one to watch out for.
