As a photographer, I'm constantly inspired by Pierre et Gilles. I love their playfulness, loud colors, and use of hand-done work. This is a very enormous collection of their works compiled from other collections that have been released. The book is the size of an art history text book, and the paper is strong and bright white, so the photos pop very well. The large size means that you're getting a very good size print of each photograph. It was nice to see some of their newer works, which included photos of my favorite gal, Dita Von Teese!

I have always loved Pierre et Gilles, and this book is a wonderful retrospective of their work over the last 30 years. They are bequiling, daring, provocative, and all about love. A wonderful addition to any coffee table or bookshelf.

What to say about these guys. Their work is just amazing. It's hard to flip through this book and not be provoked, entertained, and drawn into their unique and amazing art.

Insanely great.

A beautifully printed, large-format book, Taschen is the leader in publishing art books. With a pictorial biography of the artists, this edition features three decades of their work, a section of self-portraits, and a review written by Paul Ardenne. Originally published for the Jeu de Paume exhibition in 2007.
