Wonderful and informative, March 17, 2009
This review is from: The Pig and the Box (Paperback)
This was a wonderful way to teach children about DRM. In a world set against the free exchange of information(or carrots) it's a great idea to make it fun to learn that human knowledge belongs to the people.

Cute story, controversial topic, March 17, 2009
This review is from: The Pig and the Box (Paperback)
This is a very cute and simple story about a complex and controversial topic. It shows the essence of what DRM can do, and what can happen if people are willing to share like we've all been told to do as children.

Lovely read, April 24, 2009
This review is from: The Pig and the Box (Paperback)
An extremely cute story. Bright, colorful characters and simple language make it an easy and enjoyable read for children - as others have pointed out, it teaches a valuable lesson about sharing. Seeded in the story are the ethics of sharing online, making it a desperately needed tale for framing the young minds that who be making decisions about the nature of the internet and whatever comes next.

Aesop's Blog, March 18, 2009
This review is from: The Pig and the Box (Paperback)
This book is a modern day fable that puts together the whimsy of an entertaining story with a simple moral of sharing is good, as well as the more complex moral of the relationship between power and trust.
The illustrations are vibrant, and the story is simple enough to read with my friend's 5 year old. Given that many fables are rehashes that have been told for hundreds of years, it was extremely refreshing to read an essentially brand new tale!
