"The Pigeons That Went to War" is a heartfelt and warming dedication to the memory of the pigeons and pigeoneers who served in North Africa and Italy during World War II. It is well furnished with photos and line drawings; also many anecdotes about the birds and handlers. Included are a number of actual messages delivered by the birds. A must for every pigeon library.
