While initially reluctant to make the purchase of such an intimate item with the price being a criteria, I think this experiment has worked out well. Warm and soft, these are very nice sheets, and surprise! - they're not made in China!
Very nice indeed to get a quality product for such small a price.

These sheets are decent quality for the price, however, they are not particularly soft and they're a bit stiff, initially, even after washing. I did find that they soften with use. They're not uncomfortable to sleep on, at all, though there's definitely a lot better flannel sheets out there. If you're looking for inexpensive and functional and don't mind flannel that isn't very thick and isn't as soft as you might expect, then these will do you fine.

Great Sheets,
This review is from: Pike Street 135-Gram Printed Flannel Full Sheet Set,?Songbirds (Kitchen)
I love my new Flannel Sheets. Very soft and very warm. I have washed them several times and they just get softer with each was. I bought two sets of these and intended to give one to my Mom as a Christmas gift but like them so well that I hate to part with a set and will probably keep them. Highly recommend!

I bought these in 2 colors with the duvet. The songbird sheets and duvet cover are the softest flannel I've ever had! I washed them and used them right away with no problem. However, I bought the solid blue ones and didn't pay attention to the washing instructions, washing them in warm instead of cold water, and they are stiff. I also think they shrunk somewhat; I haven't used them yet.For the price though, I can use them on a full size bed, and I'm still okay with them. But,my main point was the songbird flannel, awesome.

Big, Balled-up Mess,
By Shakespeare (Indiana) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pike Street 135 Gram Printed Flannel Sheet Set (Kitchen)
These sheets arrived a couple of days ago looking good. I had watched the price fluctuate for months. I bought on a down day - about $9 for a set of sage queen sheets and $12 for a set of snowflake (printed) full sheets. (So, if you really must buy these, watch the price for a few weeks first.)
I washed them and they balled up. Badly. I washed them two more times. The lint balls got all over everything that they touched. Its a mess. I will be using these on the floor in the entryway of the house for dirty shoes. One more thing: The bottom queen sheet (sage, solid) has already come apart at the seams and is fraying

These sheets are okay, not as nice as some flannel sheets. They could be a little thicker and softer. The pattern is very pretty. The elastic is tight and keeps the sheet on the matress well.

I love these sheets. They are so soft and warm. I have bought flannel sheets from the stores and they don't even compare. These also have the cutest old fashioned look to them. I paired them with a quilt and it is adorable.

Very pretty but very scratchy, even after dousing it with downy in the rinse cycle. Not my idea of soft flannel. You get what you pay for, I suppose.

I sent the songbird set to my Mom for Christmas. They are to arrive today so I'll get her response and update on that pattern. I read the glowing report from another buyer and based my purchase on that, so I hope hers are better. My Mom reports that the songbird sheets are great, very soft and even a bit oversized to allow for shrinking. So maybe my set was a fluke or made at a different plant. It does appear the songbirds are a good set.
I got the princess set for myself...I've never grown up. LOL. I will say they are soft to the touch no complaint there. They are not very thick but then they tell you 135gms. They only have elastic on the corners of the fitted sheets and that to me is disappointing as I find those to not stay put as well. The top sheet doesn't have much drop on the sides. They measure 11 inches deep at the corner and my mattress and pad topper together measure 12 inches so these pop off during the night. They are a tight fit on my full bed with a 3 inch memory foam topper. They do not go under the top mattesss. As far as sleeping on them they are comfy and smooth. I just don't expect them to last years like Northern Nights from QVC that I am used to. For eight dollars and eleven cents they are worth that, but not when it comes to them popping off. They have to go back:{ So be aware if you have a mattress thicker than 10 inches these are not going to hug under the mattress unless my set was just a fluke. They are made in Pakistan not China that is a good point. I guess I am used to Portugal made flannel which is supposed to be the best. So all in all for the sale prices they are worth that much if your mattress in not too thick. No way would they stay on a 15inch thick mattress. Think about it. What they say is 12 inches and will fit at 15 inch mattress. |
