4.0 out of 5 stars Electrifying!!!
Okay... first, I gotta point out the elephant in the room. These fleecy wraps are full of static electricity. I guess it's the nature of the beast of the material, but YIKES! Not fun to get zapped by a bolt of wandering electricity when you're just moving your hand to change the channel on the remote. Happens a lot too.

BUT on a high note, these little...

This could have been a good idea if the innovative design was implemented with some quality fabric. A better version is still possible or maybe someone already has it in the market. The Cuddly is basically a blanket with sleeves - you should know that, while the front looks in reality like the pictures and the TV show it, there's literally 'nothing' in the back because it's really a blanket. With sleeves. I knew that before ordering but what I didn't know was that it's a VERY THIN blanket. You can easily see through it if you place it against a light source. In fact, I just verified, you can see the TV screen through it. But, here are the specs:

- 100% polyester
- 71" long
- 54" wide
- 2 Cuddly Wraps per order
- made in China

I don't know if there are different kinds of polyesters but this one seems particularly apt at producing, storing and discharging static electricity and not everyone may be comfortable with that. I know that I am not because my skin prefers electrically neutral fabrics and it doesn't tolerate those that discharge little 10,000-Volt bolts with audible static crack noises when worn.

The one good thing about the Cuddly is that it looks good from the front while standing up and posing for a picture, as the pictures show (it doesn't look so good from the back). On the other hand if you are going to wear it in a room that is cooler than average and if a static-charged, totally synthetic fabric against your skin bothers you then the Cuddly may not be such a good pick. We like to keep our living room a little cool in the winter and I don't like being zapped by my clothes every time I move so MY rating for the Cuddly is a 2-stars, meaning "I don't like it".

Okay... first, I gotta point out the elephant in the room. These fleecy wraps are full of static electricity. I guess it's the nature of the beast of the material, but YIKES! Not fun to get zapped by a bolt of wandering electricity when you're just moving your hand to change the channel on the remote. Happens a lot too.

BUT on a high note, these little babies (you get 2 to a pack for the same price as one Snuggie in the stores around here) are nice and toasty warm. They're also LIGHT and easy to move in.

I got my mom and niece the blue ones and they're in love with them (often fighting off the cats that also seem to love them too), and got my husband the brown ones. He keeps one at his computer and while he plays his computer game, he puts it on and thinks he actually IS a "monk" like in his game. Silly man. He keeps the other one by the bed (where he gets zapped changing the remote, but I've already told you about that).

The pros off this wrap -- price, comfort and warmth factor -- far out-shadow the cons (static electricity!!!). So if you've read this far, thank you and I'd like to recommend this product to you. I think you'll agree it's worth the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars May the Warmth Be With You ..........., November 29, 2009
Love this "hands free" blanket. Great for the couch potato. I just lay it over my body and slip my hands through the sleeves and voila! Keep yourself warm and eat your popcorn without any unwanted drafts. 2 in a package at this price seems like a good deal to me compared to some of the others they have out there. If they ever add a hood to this thing, the brown ones I have can double as an Obi Wan Kenobi costume. Watch Animal House with these on and you got instant Toga Party outfit! Just take one sleeve off, wrap it around and use a safety pin.

Keep warm and have fun!

3.0 out of 5 stars Warm And Soft, But Oh The Static!, January 1, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We ordered three sets of the Pike Stree Cuddly 2-Packs (in Brown, Blue, and Red) because our house is very old and drafty. We already keep throw blankets near all of our chairs and the sofa since that is the only way to keep warm in the winter months. These wraps work as advertised with the following observations:

+ One Size Fits All - These are plenty big and fully cover my 5'10" 235lb body, but somewhat drown my 5'5" 135lb daughter. This isn't a problem unless you are planning on walking around in them, in which case they have to be hiked up like a dress (not that I would know anything about walking around in a full length dress, it's just that this is how I would imagine it would have to be done... really)

+ Great Price - These are sold in two packs for what one of another brand would cost, also they tend to go on sale so are even a better value

+ Good Looking - Really, they look fairly nice once they are on - a little bit like a cult member or a Jedi (without the hood) but still nice

- No Back Closure - These just wrap around, so it can get drafty in the back if you move around... I would suggest making sure you keep some clothing on under these to avoided unwanted exposure

- Thin Material - Very thin and light, but they do hold the heat and block the dafts

- Static - These are really prone to seriouse static build up... I almost fried my cat by accident and it was hours before she would come back to me... once my kids figured this out, they put theirs on and started a "zap fight" that unleashed move sparks than an overloaded 1950's wall socket at Christmas

These were a good value and I'm happy with them for use around the house, but they might not be for everyone. My son joked that the different colors allowed him to tell his standing in the "cult" and we had to agree not to wear them when his friends come over.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, November 28, 2009
Getting two for the price of one is well worth it! Yes, you could wear your robe backwards, but I like the fact that these are lighter weight and still keep you warm. Also, they are easy to fold and store away when not in use. I roll my up and put in a basket next to the sofa.

4.0 out of 5 stars cheaper than the snuggie, June 29, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Pike Street Fleece Cuddly Wrap, Navy, Set of 2 (Kitchen)
I own both the Snuggie and 2 of these fleece wraps. I prefer to use these and not the Snuggie. They may be a little thinner, but does not affect the warmth. Plus, for the price (I got mine on sale, 2 for $14.99) they are much more affordable than the Snuggie. If I could find them on sale again, I'd buy some as gifts for friends.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just "Okay"., December 4, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought the combo pack in navy during the lightning deal and am glad I didn't have to pay full price - they're definitely not worth it. The product description states "Made of 100-percent soft polyester fleece to keep you cozy and warm". When I think of 'fleece' I think of something soft, fairly fluffy, and not see through. The best comparison to these is an airline blanket - nice but not designed to truly "keep you cozy and warm".

Pros:
Large enough to fit most individuals
Can double as a Jedi robe

Cons:
Poor material choice (Thin "fleece")
On first inspection, I'm concerned about how well these will hold up to washing

3.0 out of 5 stars 2 Wrongs..., February 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I wanted brown and got red. I sent it back (fairly painless return process) and requested a brown replacement. They sent another red! It was pretty cold here so I gave up and kept the red. Other than that, as light as this wrap is, it is incredibly warm. This is NOT something you'd want to wear around the house (way too awkward to keep wrapped) - strictly for snuggling down in one place.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for kids, February 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought these in red for my kids (ages 6 and 10).
I didn't expect the fabric to be luxurious for the price. They are soft enough for my boys. Maybe because I washed and dried them with fabric softner?
My kids don't have any of the static problems. Maybe because we run a humidifier? Maybe because I washed and then dried them with anti static dryer sheets?
My kids wear them backwards and forwards. Wearing it with the opening to the front keeps it from slipping down while sitting up straight.
The fabric is lightweight, but you can't see through it .(per another poster's remark.) I held it up in front of my tv , I can't see through it. Yes, I can tell there is a light source behind it, but can't make out any details.

These are great! My husband and I both use these to take the chill off. Sometimes just over our legs and sometimes over our arms also. They are very long, so it makes it easy to cover up your feet!
